Vic: Estranged husband stabs woman

MELBOURNE, Dec 11 AAP - A 21-year-old woman has been stabbed by her estranged husband
outside her workplace in Melbourne's east early this morning.

Police have been told the Mooroolbark woman had just finished her shift at the Coles
Express service station on Canterbury Rd in Bayswater North at 12.20am (AEDT) when she
was approached by the 27-year-old man outside.

She was dragged to her car, where she was stabbed to the chest with a kitchen knife.

She was taken by ambulance to the Maroondah Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested the Hampton Park man at the scene. He was taken to the Ringwood police
station, where he is being questioned by police.
